Unique, inexpensive gifts for the Holiday Stocking
The holiday season has arrived and people are racing around to get last minute holiday shopping done. Parents are looking for that perfect iPod for their child, husbands and wives are looking for that perfect romantic present but what they shouldn’t forget are those perfect, fun stocking stuffers.
These gifts don’t have to be expensive or even really unique. Stocking stuffers can be cheap and even something that’s just useful, like batteries.
Themed Stocking Stuffers
Stocking stuffers can be themed for each person. If someone in the house is a huge sports fan, fill their stocking with golf balls, trading cards, a favorite team logo decal for the car or jewelry with the team emblem on it including watches or necklaces for the ladies.
A wine theme can be created as well. Stuffers include a fancy wine bottle opener, wine glass charms, a unique wine cork or a picture frame with grapes all around the edges.
Is someone in the house really proud of the university they graduated from or obsessed with other school? Theme their stocking for the particular school they can’t seem to get enough of. For example, if someone is really excited about the University of Georgia, get them a UGA license plate holder, UGA socks, t-shirt or flag for the outside of the house.
For the grill-master of the family, stuff the stocking with different kind of rubs, different sauces and top it off with a personalized brander so the master can brand his or her meat.
His and Hers Stocking Stuffers
Stuffers can be tailored to a gender as well. For him, stuffers include, flannel pajama pants, a card game, a game for a PlayStation or Xbox, cufflinks, a favorite bottle of cologne or fancy mints like Altoids Chocolate.
For her stuffers include nail polish in the season’s hottest colors, slipper socks, bobby pins, lip gloss or something called paper soap. Many companies sell it but Bloom Cosmetics sells paper soap in different containers, different colors and different scents. The soap also comes in packages that are easy to pop in a purse and take anywhere.
Miscellaneous Stocking Stuffers
For those who don’t want to theme the stocking or stuff is according to gender, there are many things left to do. If someone is getting a new mp3 player for a gift, or even if they already own one, an iTunes card would be great in a stocking.
Batteries are a little boring but very practical. Is someone in the family always running out of batteries on their walkman or remote control? Give them a pack of batteries. It’s not the most creative thing in the world but it’ll get a laugh.
While shopping for that perfect gift for the perfect someone, don’t forget the perfect stocking stuffer.
